Mobile Bar Insurance

2026 price guide

How Much Does Mobile Bartender Insurance Cost?

Most mobile bartenders pay roughly $500–$1,500 per year for core general and liquor liability coverage. What you actually pay depends on a handful of factors — here’s how the number is built, and how to get yours.

Typical price ranges by coverage

These are general industry ranges to help you budget — not a quote. Your premium is set by the carrier based on your specific business.

CoverageTypical annual range
General liability$350–$800
Liquor liability$300–$900
GL + liquor combined$500–$1,500
Equipment / inland marine+$150–$500
Trailer coverage+$250–$700
Commercial auto+$1,200–$2,500
Full program (larger operators)$2,000–$5,000+

Ranges are general estimates for budgeting and vary widely by state, carrier, limits, and business profile. The only way to know your cost is a quote.

What drives your premium

Annual revenue. The single biggest factor. Carriers often rate liquor liability as a function of alcohol-related sales or total revenue, so a part-time weekend bartender pays far less than a high-volume event company.

Whether you serve alcohol — and who provides it. A host-supplied model is generally viewed differently than a business that sells alcohol directly, and we structure coverage accordingly.

Your equipment and trailer. Insuring a custom bar trailer or horse trailer bar and its gear adds premium, but protects assets that can be worth tens of thousands of dollars.

States you operate in. Dram shop laws and liquor liability exposure vary significantly by state, which affects pricing and availability.

Coverage limits and additional insureds. Higher limits cost more; many venues require $1M/$2M limits and to be added as an additional insured (sometimes a small added charge).

Claims history and years in business. A clean record and an established operation typically earn better pricing.

Why an annual policy is the smart choice

We focus on annual policies — and for a working mobile bartender, that’s almost always the right call. One policy covers every event you work all year, so you’re never scrambling for coverage when a booking comes in.

The biggest practical win is certificates of insurance. With an annual policy, you can produce a COI for any venue on demand — instantly, as many times as you need — instead of arranging coverage event by event. For a business that books regularly, annual coverage is more cost-effective per event and far less hassle.
